Eternal Challenge

Test your limits in United Aion with the Eternal Challenge, a solo-based instance that dynamically adapts to your performance and grows more dangerous with every successful run.

Each victory pushes you to a higher difficulty tier, unlocking greater rewards — but failure will pull you back down. Only the strongest can endure.


Instance Overview

  • Required Level: 65
  • Party Size: Solo only
  • Daily Entries: 1 per day
  • Difficulty: Progressive & adaptive
  • Reward: UnitedAion Coins
  • Reward Use: Redeemable via .buy
  • Entry Location:
  • Sanctum – Teleport Device (Elyos)
  • Pandaemonium – Teleport Device (Asmodians)

Core Objective

Your mission is to destroy the central Aether Stone within a 15-minute time limit.

The Aether Stone itself does not fight back — instead, it periodically summons powerful Artifact Protectors designed to overwhelm and disrupt you.

Once the Aether Stone is destroyed: - The timer stops
- Shadowshift emerges
- Defeating Shadowshift is required to receive rewards


Dynamic Difficulty System

  • Difficulty starts at a low tier
  • Each successful run increases your personal difficulty level
  • Every 3 difficulty increases, a new stage is unlocked
  • If you:
  • Die
  • Leave the instance
  • Fail the time limit
    your difficulty drops to the previous stage

Difficulty tiers are inspired by AION’s traditional medal progression.


Difficulty Stages

  • IRON
  • BRONZE
  • SILVER
  • GOLD
  • PLATINUM
  • MITHRIL
  • CERANIUM
  • ANCIENT
  • ANCIENT+

While the system can technically scale beyond ANCIENT+, the challenge eventually becomes unsustainable. At that point, players will naturally fall back to the ANCIENT tier.

As difficulty rises: - Enemy power increases - The Aether Stone gains significantly more TP - Survival becomes increasingly demanding


Artifact Protectors

Throughout the encounter, different protectors spawn to defend the Aether Stone. Each plays a unique role.

Vord

  • Appears from the start
  • Deals minimal damage
  • Possesses extremely high TP
  • If not defeated within 1 minute, he fully restores himself
  • Upon defeat, he will respawn later
  • TP scales upward with difficulty

Scapi

  • Appears starting at BRONZE
  • Spawns in groups of six
  • Individually weak but overwhelming in numbers
  • As difficulty increases:
  • Spawn frequency becomes faster

Vala

  • Appears starting at SILVER
  • Does not deal direct damage
  • Continuously inflicts debuffs on the player
  • If left alive for 1 minute, he fully heals
  • Debuffs become:
  • More numerous
  • More powerful
    as difficulty rises

Final Boss: Shadowshift

Shadowshift appears only after the Aether Stone has been destroyed.

  • He adapts to the player
  • Uses the player’s own strengths against them
  • Defeating him is mandatory to claim rewards and progress

Important Notes

  • Entry is limited to once per day
  • Difficulty is tracked individually per character
  • Rewards scale with difficulty stage
  • Failing a run reduces your difficulty tier
  • Higher tiers demand optimized builds and execution
